「on the gram scale」：「gram」部分を変えて、「on the micro scale（マイクロスケールで）」、「on the nano scale（ナノスケールで）」などと応用できます。

 

カラム操作時に用いられる動詞は、「pack」、「apply/load」、「run」などですね。

 

「ether」は、無冠詞で突然出てきた場合には大抵「ジエチルエーテル」を指します。

加算名詞として用いられる場合(aがついていたり、複数形の場合)は、 R−O−R’構造を持つ「エーテル系化合物」を指します。

 

「ドラフト」は、「hood」や「fume hood」と呼ばれます。

「 ドラフトチャンバー（draft chamber）」では通じないようです。
